Nicky is a co-founder of Absolute Health and a hands-on musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience since graduating in 2003.
She earned her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in the UK, then spent a year in hospital practice focusing on orthopaedics, musculoskeletal injuries, rheumatology, back pain and care of the elderly, before setting up her own clinic in Glasgow specialising in sports injuries and occupational-health physiotherapy. She is qualified in Pilates - which she loves using for rehabilitation - and in dry needling.
In 2009 Nicky also qualified with a Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the London Veterinary College, and has worked with top event and international dressage horses (as well as cats and dogs). She also runs her own animal physiotherapy practice on the Sunshine Coast. She would describe herself primarily as a 'hands-on' musculoskeletal physiotherapist, and regularly hosts training events for the Absolute Health team.
Nicky co-founded Absolute Health with chiropractor Matthew Smith and consults from our Mooloolaba clinic, where she enjoys co-managing cases with the clinic's other physiotherapists and chiropractors.
A keen cyclist, hockey player and competitive horse rider, Nicky understands first-hand the importance of injury prevention and treating minor niggles before they become problems.
